At the end of each chapter, the author has fed us a bit more about the characters to make us wonder about them (or other characters), and leave us wanting to know more. There were things that annoyed me about this book. The reader knows from the beginning that one of the group has died, but it takes a good bit of the book to actually find out who it was. Then it quickly moves back to 3 days earlier, and the guests arrive at the estate. The book starts on January 2nd, when a body is discovered. But still, those are both aspects that I like as long as I can keep up with the story. ![]() It also skips around in time, which can be confusing. ![]() The story is told from the point of view of five characters, alternating between brief chapters. ![]()
